ExpressionFlow got a major facelift
by , Jan 19, 2008 at 1:25 am
As you can probably see, ExpressionFlow got a major facelift today. Actually almost everything else except the content has been replaced. The most important changes are
- ExpressionFlow now has a logo and an identifiable visual appearance of its own
- The new theme being wider is more suitable for presenting images of visual code
- The blog software WordPress has been upgraded to the latest stable version
As this has been a major upgrade, there may be some problems still needing fixing. If you notice something wrong with the site, please inform me by posting a comment. If you are not able to post comments, you can email me. The address is firstname at the domain name.

Congratulation, Tomi. It definitely looks better and like it will be more readable. The previous version with the narrow bar wasn’t really easy for long articles.

Thanks Yen
Nice that you like the new looks. I spent quite some time to get it satisfactory…

Nice work Tomi,
It look realy professional.
BTW, If’ve created a new OpenG template with Kurt, that has protected attributes and class attributes. Also If’ve made the GDS more stabile when creating OpenG classes, a found a work around for a bugg that crashes LabVIEW.
Cheers,
Mikael

Tomi, I am new to LabVIEW and recently have been stumbling upon different blogs, yours included (of course). Your website looks very nice and not having seen what it was before, I can say that it is a good fit. One thing I noticed that is a bit of a nag, but nothing in error, is the voting area. When I hover over the stars, the (# Star(s)) text comes up and pushes down all content below it by one line. This is obviously opinion but it can be a slight annoyance if reading an article and accidentally hovering over it.
I suggest, if you fix it, that you use the visibility property in CSS (right now it looks as if it’s using the display). It gives you an extra line all of the time, but it doesn’t cause a content jump, your preference of course. Hope to see and use your blog much more in the future.

Mikael, sorry for a late reply. New OpenG template certainly sounds good
Where can we find it? Is is available for download via OpenG website?
Peter, I fixed the rating star issue and the text should not shift downwards anymore. If you still experience problems, please notify me.

Hi, I today updated the user registration and login screen as well as the registered user control panel layouts to fit ExpressionFlow visual theme. If anyone encounters any problems, please notify me. I’ve only done some testing with Firefox 2 and IE 7 and both seem to work properly.
